Dangers of Falling Objects

Often, stores and shops will stack their goods on shelves. When workers fail to set these items up safely and securely, they pose a hazard to customers. Falling objects are unexpected and, in many cases, can be quite dangerous. Items that fall from tall, overhead shelves can cause minor or even major head and neck injuries.

When workers restock the store’s items, they typically wheel stacks of items out on dollies. These goods are often left unattended or unmanned for periods of time while the employees rearrange and replenish the shelves. Shoppers who pass by these loaded dollies may become victims of dangerous falling objects if the items are not stacked in a sturdy manner. Even grazing the dolly on accident could have detrimental results to an unaware shopper.

As a falling object injury victim, you may have the right to claim damages for your pain and medical bills. Falling objects can cause bone breaks, fractures, concussions, head and spine injuries, sprains, and lacerations. Such damage can put an innocent individual in the hospital and keep him or her out of work for a lengthy period of time. If you have been hurt as the result of someone else’s negligence, then you deserve compensation.
