Fireworks are spectacular to watch. These phenomena are quite common during the summertime, and they are especially prevalent around July 4th. While the largest and most dangerous types of fireworks are often set off in large displays by licensed professionals, smaller ones can be sold to average, unlicensed citizens. Though they are not as powerful, these consumer-grade fireworks can still be quite dangerous or even deadly when used improperly.
In Nevada, all fireworks laws aside from CPSC safety regulations are set at the county level. Because so few policies have been established, it is extremely important for users to be especially careful when handling and igniting these items. The following suggestions should be followed in order to safeguard yourself and your loved ones against fireworks dangers:
Children, who may not be as familiar with fireworks or understand the dangers they pose, should be watched closely when around fireworks. If your child has been injured by a firework while under the care of another individual, then you may be able to take legal action against this person for his or her negligence.
If you or your child has suffered a serious firework injury as the result of another party’s negligence, then you may have the right to claim damages. Contact a Las Vegas personal injury lawyer from Palmer & Associates, P.C. today at 702-888-2222 to speak with an attorney about your situation.
