An 18-year-old Las Vegas woman died in a two-car crash Thursday afternoon, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, and the coroner said she died of blunt force trauma to the torso and head. The man in the other car was injured and taken to University Medical Center, police said.

The road was closed to traffic for several hours. Police are still investigating the accident. They do not know which direction each vehicle was traveling, but the coroner ruled the death accidental.

A 58-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with critical injuries after a three-car accident early Sunday morning on the Las Vegas Strip. A car hit a curb and became airborne, hitting two other vehicles, authorities said. The driver of the car was arrested on felony DUI charges. His passenger was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

In one of the cars he hit, the driver is in critical condition and the passenger was not injured. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, authorities said. Police are still investigating the accident.

A car crashed into a Summerlin couple’s home Friday afternoon after a three-car accident near the house. One of the cars involved in the accident veered off the road and into the kitchen. The vehicle went no farther than the kitchen. Debris was scattered throughout the room.

Witnesses said the driver was a woman with a child in the car with her, and that they saw police lead her away in handcuffs. Authorities have not revealed the woman’s name or the charges against her.

A vehicle hit and killed a 53-year-old pedestrian Monday evening as he was crossing the street. Authorities say the man was jaywalking and have ruled the death as accidental.

The pedestrian was taken to University Medical Center and pronounced dead from the multiple injuries suffered at the scene. The vehicle’s driver was not injured.

An elderly man drove through a traffic light and plowed 35 feet into a casino outside Las Vegas, killing two women and injuring seven others. He is believed to have had some sort of medical episode at the time of the accident.

The 70-year-old crashed through the glass doors, plowing up slot machines and bolted stools. He claims to have fainted, and officials are also investigating to see if his vehicle malfunctioned. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

The man was arrested on charges of two counts of reckless driving causing death.
