NV Energy is facing a wrongful death lawsuit from an accident in 2007. The accident in 2007 was with a Navy Helicopter and took the lives of five servicemen.
The Navy Helicopter, while out training, ran into power-lines in Northern Nevada owned by NV Energy. This caused the helicopter to crash.
Members of the family who have brought the suit state that the company did not take the proper precautions and safety measures. The family believes that if the power-lines had proper reflective or other identifiable markers that this accident would not have happened.
