A motorcyclist was killed Saturday morning in a head-on collision with a wrong-way driver on U.S. 95 in Las Vegas, authorities said. Police said a car driven by an 82-year-old man was traveling south in the northbound lanes of the freeway when it collided with the motorcycle head-on.
Emergency medical personnel performed CPR on the motorcyclist, authorities said, but he died on the scene shortly after the accident. The 82-year-old man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, police said. The freeway was closed for several hours while police cleared the scene of the accident.
