A 13-year-old boy was killed while riding his bicycle to school Monday morning in Henderson, Nev., authorities said. Police said he was riding eastbound against traffic when a minivan hit him. Authorities pronounced him dead on the scene.
The 56-year-old driver was not injured, authorities said. Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the fatal car crash, police said, and the driver consented to giving a blood sample for testing. Authorities are still investigating the accident.
