A man in Las Vegas has been arrested after crashing his truck into a bus stop Monday.
According to police reports, Daniel Melin has been charged with driving under the influence with accident, driving under the influence of drugs, and hit-and-run. Police say Melin told them he was taking an opiate for back pain.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Lake Mead and Racho. Melin’s car crashed into an unoccupied bus stop shelter on the corner, destroying the structure. The Regional Transportation Commission said, in a statement, that they will be examining the location of the bust stop to see if it needs to be moved.
